Hank goes South! Getting lost in Austin for a long weekend was a neon lovers dream. Even when the plan wasn’t to hunt neon, my wandering evenings couldn’t help but turn up exquisite specimens to photograph around every corner.
There’s a special love the city has for their neon signage. Everything looked incredibly well-maintained, and featured more animated signage than I had ever seen in a city before. Bless Texas!
Rounding out the trip was a tour of the legendary Todd Sander’s Roadhouse Relics neon art gallery. Once again, the neon community provides unmatched kindess and hospitality.
